In 2002 'Tres Amigos'(3 20+yr old males
of Portland,OR, trekked the PCT (Mexico
to Canada) and the three families supported
their saga for 5 months. I thought that
was long.....I cannot imagine the many miles

recently closed here due to lack of funds.
Many of us who have been involved with the
barn, the horses and the people it benifited
were devistated. I was very excited to here
about your ride. I am a farrier and am currently
serving as the Indiana Farriers association's
president. I am also involved with our national
organization the American Farriers Association.
It may only be a small contribution, however
I'm sure that through my affiliation, either
I myself or Farriers along your route would
gladdly make sure your horses were well shod
for free by some of the best Farriers in the

I
met ms. m yesterday as the three of them were
crossing a very long dam across lake thurmond
near modock,s.c. this lake is very large encompassing
thousands and thousands of acres of water.
Im sure they enjoyed the view but im also
they didnt enjoy the wind.it was a cold blustery
day for the south but they seemed to handle
it ok. i crossed the dam and pulled over at
a wide spot and waited on them. they stopped
and we had a short chat as they were a little
late to meet some folks at Modooc. she is
a very nice young lady,I wish her nothing
but the best in her endeaver and her life.
i wish we had more time to chat she is a very
